CATCHING FIRE: THE STORY OF ANITA PALLENBERG
USA 2023, Alexis Bloom, Svetlana Zill, 110 Min., OV
Drugs, love and artistry – a poetic collage depicting the icon Anita Pallenberg.
“I reclaim my soul,” Anita Pallenberg writes in her autobiography. In this film, her words are transformed into an audio-visual artwork. With tenderness and sensitivity, her life alongside the Rolling Stones is portrayed in “memory images.” They love, live out their desires, flee abroad to escape drug scandals and almost break under the weight of fame. Anita remains trapped like an animal in the shackles of her life. Daniela Graf
