Freshly served: No fish specialities are served on the sushi board in the glass container at Viktualienmarkt, but rather the finest creations made of coloured porcelain. Six designer vases from Rosenthal are presented in their iconic shapes.

For 145 years, Rosenthal has stood for the highest level of craftsmanship and at the same time written design history. Around 1000 collaborations with renowned artists, architects and designers have been realised over the years.

Glass designer Claus Josef Riedel created the asymmetrical shape Asym, while the New York studio Studio Dror was inspired by the fragility of beautiful things with Vase of Phases. With the Fast vase, Cédric Ragot created an interpretation of social change in the digital age and with Squall he solidifies a dynamic movement. The Skum ("foam" in Danish) vase by architecture firm BIG is modelled on an inflatable art pavilion. Sebastian Herkner's Hop vase is reminiscent of sculptures by the artist Tony Cragg.

Porcelain is a natural product made from three minerals: kaolin, the fine-grained, white rock. From feldspar, which is found in crystalline form in the earth's crust. The third raw material is quartz, which gives the porcelain its strength. The minerals are decorated in the container on a real crockery trolley from porcelain production.
Finely pulverised and mixed together, porcelain paste is created and from it: excellent design.
