Climate change is one of the greatest disasters of our time. An important lever for change lies in the hands of companies, among others. In the way they use resources, reduce emissions and contribute to social justice.

For too long, design agencies have been part of the problem by focusing solely on the communicative impact of their work without paying sufficient attention to the effects on people and the environment. In the trade fair and event business in particular, for decades, little consideration was given to the consumption of resources and the consequences of their own actions. The rethinking process has long since begun, but the path is complex and the successes are still trivial. The task now is to define the relevant levers for a more rapid positive change.

In a discussion with experts from companies, start-ups and consultancies, we explore their learnings, basic requirements and initial starting points for agencies in terms of long-term, honest sustainability work.
