Urbanity of the future
Landeshauptstadt München - Referat für Stadtplanung und Bauordnung
- — Vortrag / Talk / Konferenz
Blumenstraße 31, 80331 München
Urban densification as a parametric experiment
How can a city that has already been built evolve to meet the changing needs of its residents? Innovative mobility concepts, housing shortages, a wide range of leisure activities and local amenities are issues that concern our modern society. Reducing further urban sprawl and land consumption are important components of a liveable urban future.
At the event, OSA Architekten will present their "Future Urbanity" model with its four concept studies, which focus on supplementing existing building structures with modular components that represent the important aspects of living, leisure and mobility. Their aim is to create liveable designs, a high quality of life, mixed uses and a modern aesthetic that values the existing buildings.
Arne Lorz, Head of Urban Development Planning, and Thomas Rehn, Head of the Local Building Commission, will then discuss the opportunities and challenges of the urbanity of the future in Munich with OSA Architekten.
