Why dialogs and collaborations bring the (art)world forward? Dr. Sabine Adler (ERES Foundation) and Christian Ganzenberg (VARIOUS OTHERS) talk about the collaborative approaches of their initiatives.
VARIOUS OTHERS (VO) is the “international format” of the Munich contemporary art scene. Its key players―galleries, artist-run spaces and various other institutions—welcome you to discover the rich diversity of the city’s art venues. Through VO's unique partnership concept—galleries and artist-run spaces invite partners to jointly conceive exhibitions in Munich—we strengthen international exchange and incentivize cooperation. Twice a year, VARIOUS OTHERS heralds the art seasons in Munich, and it has become a regular fixture in the international art calendar. VARIOUS OTHERS supports the participants' high-quality exhibitions with a varied and exciting program of events, thus promoting Munich's visibility as a vibrant city of art.
The ERES Foundation fosters dialogue between science and the fine arts and seeks perspectives that both fields share and can build upon. It seeks an integral view that unites the perspectives of art and science. With its exhibitions, events and publications, the ERES Foundation aims to offer platforms to keep the current scientific and artistic discourse alive. The attempt to enable sensual knowledge is the guiding principle behind the foundation's activities.
In 2024, the ERES Foundation became one of VARIOUS OTHERS participants. The directors of VO and the Foundation talk about the importance of their dialogical and collaborative approach, which both initiatives share.
