Andrea Kustermann

Andrea Kustermann is Professor of Building Chemistry, Building Materials and Building in Existing Contexts at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Munich University of Applied Sciences since 2013.
Before she worked as a research associate, laboratory manager and academic director at the Institute for Building Materials in Civil Engineering at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich, where she received her PhD in 2005.
Her research areas are amongst others concrete technology, microcracks in concrete, high performance concrete, fibre concretes, lightweight concrete; building materials cycle, recycled concrete.
She is self-employed in the fields of building damage assessment, concrete technology, restoration of old buildings and building in the context of monument protection.
