In 2019, Markus Pyttel decided to leave his post as editorial director of a Munich marketing agency and pursue his longstanding fascination with coffee. In September 2019, just a few months before the start of the Corona pandemic, he founded his small but ambitious coffee shop "sweet spot kaffee", directly at Munich's Viktualienmarkt. Here, fragrant lovers will find new coffees every week, critically selected by the sweet spot kaffee team from the seasonal offerings of some of the world's best roasters - all traceable down to their individual farms. Meanwhile, sweet spot kaffee has earned a reputation far beyond the Viktualienmarkt, Munich and Germany, and is one of the first stops for many international visitors to the city.
