Mikala Holme Samsøe is a Danish architect and Professor of Design at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences.
She is interested in architecture as a strategic tool and a necessary aesthetic component for the sustainable development of our cities and societies. She is co-founder of the internationally active Danish firm Henning Larsen Architects in Munich. Together with Amandus Samsøe Sattler, she founded Studio Ensømble with the aim of contributing to society's evolution from an expansive to a reductive modernity. With a Scandinavian approach, the studio develops sustainable themes.
She is a member of the Baukunstbeirat Nuremberg, the Gestaltungsbeirat Stuttgart and a juror in architectural competitions.
