Nicola Borgmann

Nicola Borgmann works internationally as a curator, architect and art historian. As director of the Architekturgalerie München, she organises events, exhibitions and design build projects on current topics of building culture. She complements her practical work with teaching, research and publications. She has taught at TUM, the Academy of Fine Arts Munich, TH Nuremberg, the University of Addis Ababa, the University of Zurich and TU Graz, among others. Since 2022, she has been in charge of communication for the EU New European Bauhaus project in Munich. Borgmann was awarded the Bavarian Architecture Prize in 2011 and the City of Munich Architecture Prize in 2018. She is a member of the German Academy for Urban and Regional Planning and the Association of German Architects.
