Olaf Kranz

Dr Olaf Kranz studied sociology and political science. The cultural and creative industries stuck with him after founding a fashion label together with his wife, a fashion designer. Hence, he also incorporated the topic into his academic teaching and research. Following an EU project on the interdependent relationship between conducive development conditions for culture and creative industries and culture-led urban development in medium-sized cities in a European comparison, he took on the challenge of leading the Cultural and Creative Industries Team of Excellence of the City of Munich in August 2023.
