Verena Brom

Verena Brom is a textile & material designer, product developer and founder of "A Matter of Fruit". Her focus is on developing materials from plant resources, implementing circular design and creating environmentally friendly products. As a product developer in the fashion industry, she became aware of the extent of the waste of resources and the complexity of the manufacturing processes. In particular, the enormous distances that materials and products travel before reaching the end user motivated her to delve deeper into material design. In her project “A Matter of Fruit” she is developing a plant-based material alternative that is obtained from regional residues and thus makes a sustainable contribution to product design.
