Water, Waves, Ripples - Water as Inspiration.

The diversity of inspiration from the element of water – be it in structure or colour – will be presented in the exhibition in various materials in works by international designers.

Water is an element that is subject to constant change, both in terms of its surface and its colour. Depending on wind, weather conditions or movement, the surface changes and forms different patterns, reliefs and structures. The colour of the water also changes depending on the weather, sky, ground, vegetation and other factors and can range from light blue, emerald green and turquoise to a deep blue or even black. This changeability of the element, its diversity, has always been an inspiration for artists and craftspeople from different countries. Galerie Handwerk would like to present the richness in the translation of the element into different materials as varied as the element itself. The current situation regarding the handling of water will also become visible in the exhibits of this exhibition.
