Mascha Gugganig

Mascha Gugganig is an academic advisor at the Chair of Life Sciences in Society at the LMU Faculty of Biology and the Biotopia Lab - Bavarian Natural History Museum. She is a social and cultural anthropologist, a scientist in the field of science and technology research, and a frequent curator of research exhibitions on controversial, “smart” technologies. After a research project on Hawaiian land relations in the context of agricultural biotechnology and indoor vertical farming, she is now focused on the role of digitalization, (S)Low-Tech and innovation in EU agricultural policy and in the promotion of agrobiodiversity. At the LMU she also works on art-science collaborations, including in science communication and public relations.
