How can we rewild cities and reclaim public space?
During a planting workshop we will plant a commonly developed vision in the soil (Part 2 of 2 events).
In cooperation with the Professorship of Urban Design at the Technical University of Munich, students and interested mcbw participants have developed in the morning a vision and a model together with committed experts from the fields of architecture, design, urban and landscape planning, MIYAWAKI method, biomimicry method, environmental activism etc.:
Ramona Fricke, Beirut /theOtherDada
Tabea Selleneit, Eberswalde/ Tiny Forest | MIYA e.V | miya-forest.de
Felix Dietsch, Luzern, Berlin/POSITIF STUDIO
In the afternoon aspects of the vision will be made literally tangible in a planting workshop in front of the Pinakothek der Moderne, using two greenhouses, that were built by students of the Professorship of Urban Design, in cooperation with the exhibition "The Gift" by the Architecture Museum of TUM.
This workshop can be booked independently from the other mentioned event.
A summary of the lessons learned and a small evening reception at the greenhouses will conclude the planting workshop.
The planting will be maintained and integrated into the teaching formats of the Professorship of Urban Design.
With these two events, we hope to contribute to the creation of new ideas and new professional friendships and alliances for the design of greener, solidarity-based public spaces in our cities - in teaching, education, and creative practice.
