Matthias Faul

Matthias Faul is Research Assistant at the Professorship of Urban Design and has his own architectural studio.

In his teaching practice, since 2020, Matthias encourages students to intervene in public space and empowers them to take an active role in shaping the cities of the future. The formats of the "Intervention Class" and the studio "Emergency Measures" set a basis for his research topics.

How can interventions become an active part for the transformation of teaching in the 21st century.

To create a connection between academic teaching and building practice, Matthias has his own architectural studio and is part of the "Architektenkammer Rheinland-Pfalz".
