Symposium on the use of water as a resource in architecture, cities, landscapes and society.
Sponsored by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy
Too much, too little, too dirty? This was the headline in Bauwelt at the end of the last Architecture Biennale in Venice. Without water, there is no life. Around 70 percent of the earth's surface is covered by water. How do we deal with this most important resource for humans and nature, in architecture, cities, landscapes and society? Why is water so important? How does the water cycle work? Will climate change bring us more or less water? How do we deal with land sealing? What do sustainable concepts for sponge cities look like? How do we deal with water in the landscape?
