Dipl.-Ing. Werner Theuerkorn is a renowned architect who has specialised in the material use of Typha plants. After studying architecture, he founded the company "Typha-Technik Naturbaustoffe" in 1995. His research work led to the development of innovative building materials such as Typha Board and Typha OSB. He was significantly involved in projects for the sustainable utilisation of Typha, including the DBU research project in the Donaumoos and the joint project for the development of a semi-industrial production plant for Typha Board. His work has been recognised internationally through numerous patents and successful construction projects.
